Mugello has completed safety work on an area of the iconic track which was notoriously dangerous.
Mugello Circuit in Italy has made safety improvements, including widening the run-off area on the main straight by 450m, in response to concerns from MotoGP riders. The wall on the left side of the main straight has been pushed back, and an asphalt area has been created to connect the track with the protection line at the entrance to turn 8. Additionally, 1,500 square meters of asphalt run-off routes were added to enhance safety. The kerbs at turns 3, 9, and 11 have been replaced with the latest generation models that are homologated by FIA and FIM. These safety upgrades aim to raise the already high safety standards of Mugello Circuit and ensure a safe environment for all riders.
